hospitalization due to injury or illness
-
located
in another city, state, or county of considerable
traveling distance from the location of our main

detention center

the event that one of the above three scenarios exist, a

required for presentation at the time of the vehicle’s
release.
In a
case where the legal and/or registered owner is
deceased, then a valid/legal death certificate will be
required for presentation at the time of vehicle’s
release, in addition to documents providing proof that
the person the vehicle is being released to is the
“excecutor” of the estate of the legal and/or registered
owner of the vehicle being released, or any legal and
binding document(s) that can establish that the person
claiming such a vehicle has a legal right to take
possession of same.
Frequently Asked Impound Questions
Q.
Does it matter how long I leave my vehicle in impound?
A.
Yes. Fees are
assessed daily. To minimize your costs, please arrange
to pick up your vehicle as soon as possible.
Furthermore, after a set period of time (approximately
30 days depending on the year of the vehicle) it becomes
at risk of being sold at auction.
Q. What happens if I don’t
retrieve my vehicle in time?
A.
If you are unable to pick up
your vehicle within the set time, you have two options:
Option 1
You can do nothing and leave
your vehicle. We will attempt to sell it at auction to
recover the towing and storage fees. If the vehicle
does not sell, or the sale price does not cover all the
fees, we will begin collection proceedings to recover
the remaining balance.
Option 2
We understand that sometimes
people are in a difficult situation and may not have the
means to be able to claim there vehicle. In this
situation, we offer our “amnesty” program. This works
by you paying the towing charge (this covers our costs)
and surrendering the vehicle title. Then we keep the
vehicle and do not proceed with collections. For anyone
interested in protecting there credit, we strongly
suggest this option.
NOTE:
If you choose not to participate in the “amnesty”
program during during the first 30 days, we can not
offer it to you later. Once the vehicle account is in
collections, we do not have the right to negotiate the
account.
Q.
Can I pick up a car if I’m not
the registered owner?
A.
NO, the legal registered owner
must be present to pick up vehicle
